In today’s Cinéma de Mode we have the latest episode of i-D Magazine‘s series More Than a Model, which stars 17-year-old sporty schoolgirl and supermodel Rosie Tapner in the beautiful Berkshire countryside. The brilliant film directed by French collective AB/CD/CD and styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois, shows an extremely skilled Rosie playing Lacross in a Neil Barrett jumper, sprinting after the ball in a Nike look, hopping onto her horse in Gucci jodhpurs, and finally sitting down for tea in a Chanel twinset. It’s Fashion Week in Berlin! Some will be out and about the entire week. Others will wish they could be out all week, but have no invitations. And another group will pray it’s over quickly so all the visitors will leave again to their fashion capitals around the globe. So what can film freaks do to stick with their true love film without missing out on the fashion hustle and bustle? Watch films on fashion: Obviously. There are great documentaries that take us backstage and show us the entire fashion circus as if we were part of it. And those of you who just think it’s too cold to party hop, you may of course get your fashion dosage from these films as well.

I took part in a fashion photo shoot last month. Throughout the day I noticed a muscular man sitting with a box observing the photo shoot. I started chatting to him and it turned out he was a Chanel security man. He travels every day from Paris to photo shoots or clients all over the world to safely escort jewellery to its destination.
