The latest double bill by Staatsballet Berlin brings together two exceptional and unconventional choreographers: Sharon Eyal and Alexander Ekman. Both have created brand new pieces for this show that premiered earlier this month at Staatsoper Unter den Linden. If you’re expecting to see some classical ballet you will be in for a surprise, because this is anything but! We had the chance to join one of the rehearsals and take a couple of photos and GIFs for you. Don’t miss this incredible double performance. The last show of the year is tonight, with more to come in March, May and June 2020.

Unfortunately we could not make it to every show of Fashion Week. Our biggest lost was the amazing show of Tata Christiane, Vava Dudu and Charlie Le Mindu at the Uni+form Store. But sometimes photographs can be more than just a documentation. Watching the amazing pictures of Olga Khristolyubova I really had the feeling I was at the show. This is why I had to share them with you. See show and backstage photos after the jump.

I love big hair. More hair you have more fun you are on the dance floor. There is nothing more electric than a girl who can show off her massive hair. If you don’t have so much, you don’t have to worry my dear fashionistas. The superman of wigs Charlie Le Mindu was in town for Fashion Week and we were all really impressed by his beautiful hair sculptures. His show Gold Sabah at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival over the pool of Badeschiff was BEYOND. I wanted to have nearly all his beautiful head pieces for my upcoming episodes. And well, maybe I will. See some backstage pictures and a video of his show after the jump.

On Friday probably 90% of our fellow bloggers were celebrating at the StyleNite after party because apparently that’s the place to be that night. We had a different place to: The after show party of some amazing designers who we love and who are as mad as a box of hair (at least in the case of one of them this is meant quite literal): Tata Christiane, Charlie Le Mindu and Vava Dudu. The crazy party organized byconcept store UNI+FORM took place at P.O.P. and none-other than Peaches was entertaining the eclectic crowd. Some impressions after the jump.

For this week’s Cinéma de Mode we have the perfect print trend inspiration for the upcoming summer, thanks to the Basement Jaxx‘ brain-wrecking and psychedelic safari video for Back 2 the Wild, directed by Mat Maitland & Natalia Stuyk. The British dance duo’s music video was released over a month ago, but it still excites us, not only for its kitschy jungle collages with tropical and tribal geometries, but also for the amazing styling by fashion designer Charlie Le Mindu. The young French hair stylist has once again impressed everyone for his unconventional and over-the-top headpieces and wigs, combined with zany safari outfits in a vivid colour overload. Take a journey to this freaky imaginary land after the jump! Read on…

Charlie Le Mindu
When the models of Charlie Le Mindu came out on the runway at London Fashion Week I was truly puzzled by the sight of their complete nudity. But on the other hand I was thinking, well with a hat this enormous, what do you need clothes for? This show was surely one of the highlights of the London Fashion Week this season. It has been a while since I’ve been there. But it was just as much fun and excitement as last time. Our impressions after the jump.
