Now I’m sure most of you can already relate. Corona forced our boundaries of mundane activities to a whole new level. Get an update on the state of the art in underground music culture(s) and check out CTM, short for Club Transmediale. In February 2016 the impressive Kraftwerk Berlin showed a laser and sound installation by Christopher Bauder and Robert Henke called Deep Web as part of the CTM Festival. It is a moving, luminous architectural structure that weaves 175 motorized spheres and 12 high power laser systems into a 25 meter wide and 10-meter high sculpture of light and sound. It was a really immersive experience to see it.
This summer the show is back at Kraftwerk from July 12 until August 23, 2019, with special live performances on July 25 and 26, as well as August 8 and 9 that you shouldn’t miss. We have a little video from the first round to give you an impression.

There is no final explanation why we humans connect our emotions to certain sounds and colors. Some say it’s evolution that made red the color of anger, other say it’s our civilization and culture that tells us certain sounds feel sad.
Either way, art and music are the sublime keys to our emotions and gifted are the ones who know how to combine these keys with mastery. On the occasion of the CTM Festival and Transmediale, the artist Christoph Bauder and the electronic music composer Kaending Ray created a new full-scale art piece inside Kraftwerk Berlin following the success of Deep Web from 2016. Named Skalar, like the element defining a vector space, this art piece is a journey inside the deepest darkest corners of human emotions.
