Temporary Glory Attraction

Juli Holz

This Saturday a new party is born: TGA. But this is not only a party, it’s way more then that. It takes place at the amazing Bethanien at Mariannenplatz, a former assylum that has been used as a space for art and projects now for many years.

The evening starts with a BBQ dinner accompanied by a piano concert. After that there will be a fashion performance that leads over into a party with Juli Holz live and DJs Justus Köhnke and many more. As this event is made by one of the makers of La Mansarde you can expect something excellent. More details after the jump.

Youthful Partyguide

The Fountain of Youth

Young forever! New studies have proven, if you only dance enough, you’ll certainly age more slowly. A lack of sleep is also very useful. Or a sip out of the fountain of youth. Where you’ll find that one, I tell you after the jump:

The XMAS Dinner

I HEART XMAS

Wow, this was great! Our first I HEART XMAS dinner and party at Backyard came out really nice. Thanks to all of you who came! It was a pleasure celebrating Christmas with you.

The menu was delicious, starting from the salad, over to the carrot ginger soup, the mussels, the aubergine penne, the baked chicken breast on potatoes and the cupcakes and russian chocolate cheese cake. A big thank you to the cook of the Backyard for making us these lovely dishes and to my sister for the amazing cakes! We hope there will be more dinners like this (actually we know for a fact there will be, more about it soon…)!

Also a big thank you to our gift sponsors. All the guests of the dinner and the few lucky ones at the party were really happy to unwrap their early Christmas presents. And also many thanks to Veltins and Absolut for supporting us. More impressions of the dinner and the party after the jump.

iHeartBerlin 3rd Anniversary Dinner

Last Thursday we celebrated our 3rd anniversary over the rooftops of the city at La Mansarde enjoying a wonderful menu that featured Barbarie duck and filled Zucchini flowers. Yummie! And as a special treat we had the delicious cupcakes by our Cupcake Lady Dawn.

It was once again a great experience to meet some of our readers and I want to say thank you to all of you that came for making this a lovely evening. We will do this again soon! I also want to say thanks to my co-authors Suz, C.R. and Jens, as well as all the other authors who have contributed to our blog. iHeartBerlin.de Anniversary Dinner

heart

Unbelievable but true: Our modest little blog just turned three. When I started iHeartBerlin.de in August 2007 I had no idea how much it would change my life. And I would have never imagined it would also become a part of other people’s lifes. Over the years we have met many of you readers, mostly at parties, but also out in public, in the subway or even at the airport in Stockholm. Every encounter with you has been absolutely charming. And we are grateful for all your kind words and little stories related to this blog.

To have a chance to meet even more of you guys – or meet some of you again – Suz, C.R. and I invite you to our 3rd anniversary dinner this Thursday evening. The dinner is going to take place at La Mansarde a very unique location on a rooftop terrace in central Kreuzberg with an exceptional view over the city. After the jump you will get a glimpse of the location, see the menu and find out how to reserve your place at the table.

Loteria Supper Club

Loteria Supper Club

How I love supper clubs. This is already the third one we have been featuring here and if you asked me, the more the better! It has always been a unique, delicious and fun experience and a fantastic alternative to a regular visit to a restaurant.

The Lotería Supper Club is situated in Friedrichshain near Boxhagener Platz. We were lucky to be invited to the first dinner they made and it already made a very good impression! We hit the evening off with a tasty and strong Margarita, so I was practically drunk after the first 5 minutes and it kept on going like that for the rest of the night, as we constantly got our wine glasses refilled with every one of the 6 courses. The menu had a Californian and Mexican style including quesadillas, a pumpkin soup, a warm roasted beet salad with spinach, orange, and pickled red onions, a lime-pomegranate granita, silky soft and tasty lamb shanks as the main dish and a Mexican chocolate panna cotta. Yummie!

The next date for the Lotería Supper Club will be on Saturday March 6 at 19h. If you don’t want to miss out on this you should make your reservation now, as the supper club is limited to 10 guests. More impressions of our dinner after the jump.

The Palisaden Supper Club

The Palisaden Supper Club

The Palisaden Supper Club is a private restaurant which is run by sweet American couple near Alexanderplatz. Once a month they transform into chef and waiter and open their apartment to about ten people for a four-course-meal. We had the chance to meet very nice folks while having a very good dinner, although this seems to be for the more “mature” audience. That evening we had the New-York-connection, many Americans were sitting on the table, so conversation was held mostly in English. It’s much more fun than just going to a restaurant, where you normally don’t talk to the people on the other tables. The next Palisaden Supper will be this Friday and we will put the following dates in our event calendar. More impressions and the menu of next Friday after the jump. Enjoy!
