We love to publish party pictures because it’s a way of showing the diversity of Berlins nightlife. Sometimes hip, rarely posh, trashy, glamorous and often underground, we tried to show you the multitude of the club and party scene.  Just before the weekend starts, we have some special eye candy for you showcasing the creativity of the drag scene of Berlin. Dima Povernov is a freelance photographer who took some pictures at Pansy Presents: Disney Darlings at Südblock a couple of weeks ago. If you want to see how the drag version of the Little Mermaid, the Queen of Hearts, Shir Kahn and all the other lovely disney characters looked, you should definitely check out the pictures after the jump.

Ich Bin VIELE – The Little Mermaid

Ich Bin VIELE – The Little Mermaid

via Buzzfeed

Lately the importance of Disney princesses in gender development was questioned quite a lot. Tumblrs with bearded princesess like Conchita Wurst made quite the fuzz on the internet. But beside that it seems clear like Cinderella’s crystal shoe to me and my peers that looking for the perfect fairy tale prince is not a strategy for happy relationship and self-fullfilment at all. So why not change the fairy tales to make them more up-to-date? What if the little mermaid is not a little fishy lady but the Mean Bitch from the Sea?

In a mixture of performance, pop-concert and object theater Koikate examines images of fish, women and the scaly abyss of societal gender, body and identity models at Sophiensaele. What expectations have established themselves in our minds, and which ones have registered themselves in our bodies? And just how sexy can a fish tail be when something crucial is missing down there? We are giving away 2×2 tickets for this performance concert on Saturday. How to win and more infos after the jump.

Fashion Week has started and I am already late for my first show. This is not ok! But I had a fabulous night at the Fashion Week Opening party by Dandy Diary. It was just amazing. All these nice people dancing their little peachy asses off with me. I just had to leave early because of the fashion shows in the morning. I felt a little bit like Cinderella. Now I have to hurry. Fashion Week is not waiting for me (I tried to call them to delay the show for some minutes, but they just hung up). If you want to know how to not loose your head over Fashion Week look at the funny videos from Simone Rovellini I just found after the jump.

Things to do AFTER Christmas

Things to do AFTER Christmas

I don’t know. This year I don’t feel like Christmas at all. I wish I could just skip it and go straight to NYE. But obviously I can’t avoid the family responsibilities and have to go home to spend the holiday with my folks. But that won’t keep me from already making plans for AFTER Christmas to sooth me over the fest of boredom until I’m back in Berlin. Find out what I’ll be doing and what I recommend you should do as well after the jump.
