A great team is always ready to win. So far we are really happy that two of our good friends, the Edged Showroom girls and the guys from Kaltblut-Magazine joined forces to support and present young designers. The EDGED Showroom takes place from the 14th to 17th of January on Torstrasse 100 in Mitte and will see emerging names from Taiwan and Sweden present their collections to national and international press and buyers. Our guest photographer Olga Khristolyubova was at the opening and collected some impressions for you guys.

Last night was a very exciting night for my friend Gina and me. Our 9th Designer Scouts event took place in the oversized studio of our friend Julia from JULIAANDBEN. When I first stepped into this space it instantly gave me a feeling of excitement: Apart from it’s perfect size and build-up it had such an amazingly positive and creative vibe (probably some left-over Karma from the gallery that was in here before Julia moved in) that I instantly thought: We have to do a runway show in here. We haven’t actually done any runway since the good old days when we started the Designer Scouts project at HBC about two years ago. What a long journey we’ve had since then: installations, fashion presentations, exhibitions, fashion films, swap markets and what not. But in the end it was clear: The ultimate ritual of fashion is the runway show. My recap and the impressions after the jump.
On our third day of Berlin Fashion Week I took my time to visit all the avant-garde showrooms and exhibitions. This might not sound so exciting because there is no event or show or party taking place. But here I get the chance to actually talk to the designers who create all these great collections face-to-face and get to know the person that designs the clothes I am wearing. On my tour I visited the SEEK exhibition, Temporary Showroom, Collect, the (capsule) tradeshow and finally the showroom of Edged and fier Management. Meet the designers and see our impressions after the jump.

Fans of dark avant-garde fashion will find heaven on earth at the Edged Pop-Up Designer Sale at Torstr. 161 that is going on until January 31st. The shop features truckloads of sale pieces from designers such as Barbara I Gongini, Butterfly Soulfire, Reality Studio, Dont Shoot The Messengers, Henrik Vibskov, Paula Immich, AND-I, AVR and many more. On my visit I have found really incredible stuff for dramatically low prices reduced by 30-70%. Some impressions and details after the jump.
