Next week is Fashion Week here in Berlin, hurrah! For us it’s definately one of the most exciting times of the year, especially since we are doing five events of our own this time. But as you know most of the events during Berlin Fashion Week are not even public but only for fashion professionals (and those who manage to sneak themselves in). But there still are quite a lot of events and parties that everyone can go to and we want to give you a little guide of the best ones. On top of that you can win a few copies of the brand new fashion book Berlin Catwalks.
Seven days of fashion, pick your favorite parties, exhibitions, sales, shows and events after the jump.
Last Friday the Voo store was host to the release party of the much anticipated OE Magazine. The man behind this brand new fashion publication is Arne Eberle. With his press and sales agency he has been one of the driving forces for avant-garde fashion and upcoming designers in Berlin for the past couple of years. His Collect Showroom brings together some of the best avant-garde labels in Berlin, many of them you will find in the editorals of OE Magazine beautifully designed by Maven. But it features not only his own stable of designers such as Esther Perbandt, JULIAANDBEN, Reality Studio, Franzius, Perret Shaad and Boessert-Schorn, but also upcoming design talents such as Sadak, Julian Zigerli and Mads Dinesen.
Make sure to get you copy of the magazine online or in one of the selected stores in Berlin, such as Voo. More impressions of the release party after the jump.
Couture Egg by C.Neeon
Here comes the first batch of our Couture Eggs with fabulous Easter egg creations by Esther Perbandt, C.Neeon, Paula Immich, Von Bardonitz, Parsival Cserer and Burkhardt/Möllmann. The auction for a good cause shall begin. The proceeds of the auction will be donated to two different charity organizations. The first one is the Japan disaster relief program of Plan, one of the worlds biggest non-profit charity organization for children in need. After the jump you’ll find the eggs and your chance on bidding.
This Easter we will turn the traditional kitchy family holiday upside down and transform it into something more contemporary and fashionable. Together with the team of Achteinhalb we have asked our favorite avant-garde designers to create Easter Eggs for us – we call them Couture Eggs. The designers are Anna Wegelin, Burkhardt/Möllmann, C.Neeon, Esther Perbandt, JULIAANDBEN, Parsival Cserer, Paula Immich, Phoebe Heess, Proportion, Reality Studio and Von Bardonitz.
These unique eggs will be auctioned off here on the blog starting late on Monday April 18 until Friday April 22, 2011. The proceeds will be donated to children’s charity and Japan disaster relief organizations. On Thursday the eggs will be presented live at a vernissage the Achteinhalb Concept Store. More details and photos after the jump.
Berlin Fashion Week and Menswear, this story tends to end up in a tragedy. Obviously not a whole lot of designers care to show their menswear lines here in Berlin, because the Paris Men’s Fashion Week is taking place practically at the same time. But still Esther Perbandt – one of the very few established designers of the Berlin avant-garde scene who actually had a show this season – dared to debut her new male line during her runway show at the nhow hotel last Friday. And I really liked what I saw, especially the black jumpsuit and the jackets are amazing. See all looks after the jump.
Clarissa Labin SS11
You probably thought after two big fashion shows and one swap market we would be through with Designer Scouts for this year. Well, think again! This Friday our latest collaboration will see the day of light. Gina, my partner and better half of Designer Scouts, has teamed up with the guys from 8 1/2 Wochen to build up a new concept store in Prenzlauer Berg. Achteinhalb will open its doors this Friday giving you the best in avantgarde fashion from Berlin. Many of the designers that we have worked with this year will be available in the store, amongst them Esther Perbandt, JULIAANDBEN, Paula Immich, Liebig and Carni, as well as many other new pearls like Clarissa Labin that Gina and I have discovered together in London at the On/Off showroom. Come by on Friday to the grand opening, there will be drinks, snacks and music. Details after the jump.

For those who might wonder, what kind of clothes there will be at the SKYY SWAP MARKET, apart from all the vintage pearls that you guys are bringing to the Swap Spots Das Neue Schwarz, La Lip and Glücklich Am Park these days there is also gonna be lots of great clothes by the hottest young and avantgarde designers in town which are:

As some of you might know we off-of iHeartBerlin have our busy little hands in many pots. One of the by-products of this modest little blog is the .HBC Couture: Designer Scouts fashion show that takes place for the second time during Berlin Fashion Week this coming Thursday at 19h at our beloved .HBC. It has been mad for me in the last couple of weeks putting everything together so CR and Suz will be more active on the blog while I will be running aroung hysterically screaming “Lights, models, guestlist… just do you best, darling!”
To be honest, I’m super excited about the new show. Not only have we renowned Berlin-based designers adddress and Esther Perbandt in our program, we also have a fantastic line-up of 7 young designers and start-up labels, that are showing their runway debuts and new collections. The fashion show itself is a closed event for press and fashion professionals, but we have 2×2 tickets to win for our readers after the jump. Also we are inviting everyone to the official public After Show Party that will start right after the show at 22:30h at .HBC.
After the jump you will see the teaser trailer to the event (made by no other than Katja off-of Glamcanyon-fame), a preview of all our designers and what else they are up to during Fashion Week, and you’ll get all the details for the raffle and party.
