Our next chapter of the event series Sustainable Listening together with Staatsoper Berlin combined culinary innovation and climate responsibility. Themed around the food system and the Planetary Health Diet, this unique gathering blended classical and electronic music, creating a sensory journey into the realms of food and sustainability.
Despite inflation hitting the gastronomy scene, Berlin continues to offer an impressive range of culinary delights from around the world and for different pockets. The city’s commitment to vegan and vegetarian cuisine is evident, although the numbers show there’s still progress to be made. With only 5% of restaurants being exclusively plant-based, and 20% offering vegetarian or vegan menus, Berlin’s food landscape reflects a growing, shift towards sustainable eating.

Just in case some of you have not noticed that we moved our weekly event guides away from the blog stream to a permanent events page with a proper listing we thought it would be good to direct you over there once more. There are some great things happening this weekend and in the following weeks. For instance, don’t miss the Rangleklods concert tomorrow, the AMD graduates fashion show on Saturday, the return of the Blitz party next week as well as the closing of the C|O at Postfuhramt (it will reopen later this year in West Berlin). Head over to our new events page for more.
Berlin Event & Party Guide
Imagine a silent and warm summer night in Berlin. You are sitting in a beautiful old place in the heart of the city, when music begins to play. The soft sound of violins sooth you before rhythmic horns seem to announce a royal entrance. Then the darkness is interrupted by rays of light that throw a black and white image of Berlin onto a silver screen. The music swells up and all of a sudden an entire orchestra is playing in perfect sync with the moving pictures of 1920s Berlins.
Doens’t that seem like a perfect Berlin film experience? UFA is staging just that this upcoming Thursday…
