When you walk through the countless halls of the IFA fair for consumer electronics at Messe Berlin your senses will quickly be on overdrive: Each brand is out-doing the next with their elaborate set-ups and technical innovations that try to catch your attention. But the moment you step into the hall 21a – the one of Telekom – the world becomes Magenta and you are suddenly on a playground where it’s all about fun. This year’s presentation is trying a new format: A festival that brings all generations together.

Since 1997, each year people from the adult entertainment industry come together for the Venus erotic fair. Porn actors and actresses are there for meet and greets, exotic dancers and and sex workers from all kinds of genres are presenting their special acts of pleasing their audience.
Vintage and nostalgia are common hobbies for Berliners who love to remember and dwell in the good old times of the turbulent but also radiant history of our beloved city.
Besides the love for good vintage fashion and design there is probably no other passion ranking so high lately than oldtimer cars. But it’s actually silly to call it a revival. As long as I can remember everybody stopped and watched in amazement when a vintage automobile passed by on the streets of Berlin. Like a time machine they throw our imagination back to the past. To an era where artisanal work and industrial design perfection were working hand in hand.
The perfect chance to discover the most awesome oldtimers in Berlin is the upcoming fair Motorworld Classic. Inside the enormous and beautiful fair building from the 30s in the West of Berlin, you will be able to discover everything related to classic cars, young timers, connoisseur-cars, motorbikes and many curiosities. Taking place from October 6th to 9th 2016, this second edition of the oldtimer fair will bring plenty of amazing automobile history highlights to Berlin.
Classic car clubs and private sellers will present and sell their products there. Many chances for awesome photos with the best of automobile design history awaits you.
After the jump we collected some of the highlights of this special event in pictures.

Are you friends with books? Do you have friends with books? By books I don’t mean Kafka, Harry Potter or Steven King. I’m talking about really special books with artsy content to contemplate about and wonder. Books that look really cool in any place inside of your apartment. Books that will inspire you to create collages. Books that will make you chuckle but you don’t know why. Books that will make your imagination go bananas, like in a Wes Anderson film. Books that when you by one only you and maybe 3-4 other really cool people will own. Welcome to the world of art book publishing.
Friends with Books is a new book fair dedicated to exactly these wonderful types of books. It will happen for the second time this weekend a Hamburger Bahnhof. Not only will you be able to flip through and purchase the art books of over 100 artists and publishers from all over the world, you will also be able to join discussions, readings, book signings and performances. After the jump we have selected some of the most interesting looking books from the Berlin-based participating publishers, along with the details about the fair.
