This week’s Cinéma de Mode brings to you the fashion film The Wild One directed by Juan Manuel Sanchez for the Berlin-based menswear label SOPOPULAR. The video presents the new Fall/Winter collection 2013 and is definitely an ode to outstanding masculinity, with bad boys stars and hot tattooed models Daniel Bamdad and Norman Theuerkorn. Particularly impressive is the overlay of floating jellyfish against the bodies of the models, which generates a dark tension between harmony and danger. The collection, unveiled during Berlin Fashion Week, features blazers and patterned shirts, joined by a studded shoulder leather jacket that clearly is the stand-out piece. Enjoy the video after the jump!

The big fashion event is now already in its fourth year and once again vintage and fashion lovers will go crazy swapping their vintage pearls and also getting their hands on some brand new designer clothes. And all this for a good cause, as all the proceeds of the event will be donated to the charity organization Berliner Aids-Hilfe e.V., so this time you don’t have to feel guilty for having another drink.

At the SKYY VODKA SWAP MARKET on August 24th at Café Moskau you will receive tokens for your voucher. Achteinhalb has been around now for quite a few years with numerous pop-up stores and events in Berlin and other German cities. In the fall of 2010 they opened their first long-term store at Kollwitzstraße in Prenzlauer Berg. For one year they sold the best of Berlin fashion including labels we love such as Esther Perbandt, JULIAANDBEN, Franzius, Blame, Reality Studio and many more.
Earlier this year the shop changed their concept back to their original time of 8 1/2 weeks with their new Living Concept. Instead of fashion they are now selling a well curated selection of furniture and home accessories. The 8 1/2 weeks are coming to an end this week, so it’s time to take your chance to pay the store that has been host to a series of iHeartBerlin and Designer Scouts events in the past year a final visit.
We will surely miss the cosy place at Prenzlauer Berg and are already anticipating future projects of the makers of Achteinhalb. More photos and details after the jump.

Sometimes magazines are like butterflies. They need to go through some steps of metamorphosis to achieve their full potential. I can say for sure that Kaltblut Magazine which was first called Honk made some big steps into becoming one of my favorite online magazines. Their new issue about Avantgarde came out recently and has a lot of beautiful fashion editorials and interesting interviews to offer. Check it out. Fore more great pictures of the fashion spread Nocturnes by Brasilian photographer Fernando Mazza go after the jump.

Andres Gallardo
Here we are at last: Paris Fashion Week. We were invited by Who’s Next Paris Prêt-à-Porter trade show to discover the world of fashion in Paris. And what a big world it is. When we arrived at the grounds of the trade show at Portes de Versailles we were a bit shocked of how huge it is. The 6-fairs-in-one event is hosted in 4 big halls that make you feel very small. Hundreds if not thousands of brands from all over the world are exhibiting their latest collections here.
On our first day we decided to start with the jewellery and accessories exhibition of Première Class. While browsing through the first hall of shoes we rediscovered the British shoe label United Nude that we though was the most edgy and intersting one of the whole exhibition. Of course the Eiffel Tour Heel was also quite charming…
After the shoes we took a look at all the jewellery labels in the next hall. Here we especially liked the wonderful porcelain jewellery of Spanish designer Andres Gallardo and the laser-cut leather accessories by Italien label C.A. 2. After the jump you will find our favorite finds of the exhibition as well as our outfits of the day.

Odeur AW 12/13
I discovered the Swedish label Odeur a few years ago through Temporary Showroom here in Berlin. I was instantly taken by the style of this label and have my closet half full of their designs by now. Their unisex collections would fit easily among the big avant-garde stars of Paris, yet their pieces are more affordable at that. This Saturday they make their premiere at the official tent of Berlin Fashion Week and I am so sad I am going to miss the show due to our trip to Paris. Therefore I met up with designer Gorjan Lauseger and Petter Hollström this week and talked with them about their show in Berlin and their new collection. Get a few preview photos of the new campaign and read the interview after the jump.

Come for Breakfast
We’ve been to London, we’ve been to Tokyo, we’ve been to Madrid, we’ve been to Berlin, obviously, visiting each cities official Fashion Weeks. But never have we been to the mother of all Fashion Weeks and the one that is still considered the most important one in the world: Paris Fashion Week. The biggest trade shows take place here and the most important international brands and designers have their shows in this beautiful city. The whole affair in fact is so huge that it gets split in three parts: Menswear Fashion Week, which sadly always coincides with Berlin Fashion Week, the Haute Couture Week that happens right after and finally the main Womenswear Fashion Week a few months later.
But this season it’s actually going to happen: iHeartBerlin.de goes Paris Fashion Week thanks to the Who’s Next trade show, the biggest one of its kind, who invited us over to take a look at what’s going on in Paris. We’re super excited and can’t wait to go over their this Friday. We’ll be covering our findings on the trade show on a daily basis and of course we’ll also use the opportunity to check out a few other events during Paris Fashion Week. To find out a little more about Who’s Next Paris you should read on after the jump.
