Efa’s Frozen Yogurt

Efa's Frozen Yogurt

Two weeks ago a brand new frozen yogurt place opened at Weinbergsweg conveniently located close to Rosenthaler Platz. Considering the frozen yogurt hype first started in the States sometime in the 80s this is one of those trends that took forever to reach good old Germany. But as I am a big fan of yogurt ice cream I say: better late then never! Here in Berlin we have frozen yogurt now for a couple of years all started by Yoli. Since then a few places have opened. But what makes Efa’s Frozen Yogurt so special apart from it’s great location and original interior? Their yogurt is all organic! Some impressions and details after the jump.

The Interactive Week

This week is one of those versatile affairs again. We have two very interesting photography exhibitions opening by Berlin-based talents Sascha Weidner and Maxime Ballesteros, and the rest of the week is dominated by very participative events: Sew a dress at a DIY party, climb into an interactive installation at an indie-game party, prepare an amazing dish at a cooking party, and make your own costume for a masked ball. This and much more after the jump.

Yoli – Frozen Yogurt Dreams

Yoli – Frozen Yogurt Dreams

My absolute favorite ice cream flavor is yogurt. Obviously, a store that only sells frozen yogurt is total heaven for me. In Berlin there are many shops specialized in frozen yogurt. After a big rush in 2010 a lot of them have closed down again, but one gem has remained, probably because they simply have the best recipe.

Yoli Frozen Yogurt is the first Authentic Nonfat Frozen Yogurt Store in Germany. And I can assure you, it is absolutely delicious. The many toppings and sauces are countless but the staff will help you find the smartest and tastiest combination. I had brownie sauce and raspberries and my buddy had physalis (no, not the STD – the FRUIT!) and dulce de leche (that’s South American caramalized milk cream). I can also recommend the pistachio sauce combined with fresh berries, it’s amazing! They also have smoothies that are equally delicious and they sell waffles too. After the big success of their original store in Invalidenstraße they added a second store in Münzstraße in 2010.  More photos and details after the jump.
