A Ride Through Görlitzer Park

Today we have a bit of a premiere here for you: Our first Berlin video. I made it last week and it was quite spontaneous. I was inspired by the video that we posted recently of a ride through Friedrichshain in the 90s. I thought it would be nice to create something as simple as that that people will be able to look back to in 20 years and feel nostalgic about.

To make the video I just jumped on my bike, held my smartphone in hand and drove through Görlitzer Park in Kreuzberg filming all the people that I passed by. It was a beautifully sunny and warm day and the atmosphere was super relaxed and peaceful and it perfectly captures the laid-back attitude of Berlin. Heinrich – The Public Puppet

An art installation at the the crossroad of theatre and street art happened at Görlitzer Bahnhof last month and I am quite sad that I missed to see it. Heinrich, a grown up marionette, was installed by Various & Gould at the subway station. Not only the marionette itself is a beautiful piece of art in my eyes. The human interaction that happened with it seemed to be really impressive. You can read some really touching stories about the inhabitants of the area protecting the marionette from any kind of assault here.
