It is not always easy to interview musicians. If you are a gifted musician, that does not necessarily mean that you are a gifted in doing interviews. Sometimes, you have to wait several weeks or even months for a reaction to your request; and when the artist finally replies, his answers consists of one or two words. On the other hand, there are musician that reply within one day with a perfect interview – like Animal Trainer for instance, the producer and DJ duo from Switzerland that belongs to the Stil vor Talent crew. In our interview, we have talked about music by Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, Andhim, Jackson 5, Althea & Donna and Bonaparte. More after the jump.

For about four years I have been interviewing musicians, artists and bands for iHeartBerlin. Of all the interviews I did, the upcoming one with MC Fitti is the most unusual and bizarre one I ever did. In other words: the interview is just like MC Fitti and his music. On the occasion of the release of his debut album #GEILO, I talked to the Berlin-based artist about music by Snoop Dogg, Rammstein, Village People, Cypress Hill and Michael Jackson. As MC Fitti’s style is really hard for me to translate, the interview is available only in the German version.

Even though the Norwegian city Bergen is not that big, it is an important center of European pop music; Kings of Convenience, Royksopp and The Whitest Boy Alive are the most famous examples. Another international succesful act from Erlend Øye’s hometown are Kakkmaddafakka. Their music spreads pure joy of living and is the perfect soundtrack for the summer, which hopefully started now. Kakkmaddafakka’s latest album Six Months Is A Long Time was produced by Erlend Øye and came out last week.
In our interview we have talked to Axel and Pål about music by Paul Simon, Gorgoroth, Village People, Dr. Dre, Abba and Michael Jackson. More after the jump.

Farsad Zoroofchi a.k.a. FAYZEN composed his first songs with the age of nine. Later, he discovered Hip-Hop and started busking in Hamburg; it was there on the streets where he also sold his mixtapes more than 20.000 times. Now, FAYZEN took the next step and recorded his album Meer which was published at Universal earlier this year. On this debut he presents Hip Hop in a way that is quite unique in Germany: FAYZEN’s music is intelligent and sophisticated and his lyrics are always honest and very personal.
In our interview with FAYZEN we talked about music by The Kills, Common, Florence & The Machine and Lou Rawls. More after the jump.

There a many ways to do a concept album. Burak Sar aka SIS has chosen one of the most unusual ways. His new album Confidence, published in April on Cocolino, charts his journey training as a horse whisperer. Sounds odd, right? Well, the reason is: SIS actually began being a horse whisperer as an outlet to draw him away from this intense lifestyle and the secluded passion of music making. His experiences in this trade have now inspired his music. On his new album each track is named after horses from international breeds and the title of the album Confidence also refers to horse whispering as well: “The most important thing with working with horses is confidence. We grow together and learn from each other, you need patience and to develop trust.”
In our interview with SIS, we have talked about music by Ricardo Villalobos, Eko Fresh, Anita Ward, Michael Jackson, Apparat and Lady Gaga. More after the jump.
