Since our first article about designer face masks from Berlin that came out in April and featured 7 different designers who were amongst the first to produce masks a lot has changed. The senate has imposed rules that it’s compulsory to wear masks in public transport and shops. But also many more designers have decided to create masks with their own style so we have some good looking alternatives to the self-made ones or the ugly blue hospital ones. In the end, we have to wear these on our faces, so at least they should look good somehow, right?
With so many more options on the market, we thought it’s about time to make another designer face mask guide for you. We are glad to be able to support some local small businesses with our guide and give our readers some pointers on where they can get what they need. We decided not to repeat any of the designers from our first guide as this one still is new and valid. So please see this as the second part, you can find the designers from the first part right here.

We are in love. With the super charming outdoor runway presentation of the new Spring/Summer 2016 collection by Julian Zigerli. With the cute fingerpaint-style illustrations and the smudges pattern on the fabrics. With the special grass make-up. With the natural setting in the park. With the cool new heart-shaped Zigerli sunglasses, a collaboration with Lunettes Kollektion. With the male models walking hand in hand down the runway which became such an iconic image of this season’s Berlin Fashion Week. And with the lovely backstage and show impressions of our talented photo contributor Olga Khristolyubova. Enjoy a magnificent photo series after the jump.

In my eyes this Fashion Week edition was outstanding. Throughout the week I took a look at most of the Spring/Summer 2015 menswear collections presented during Berlin Fashion Week, picked my 10 favourite collections and rounded up two of the best looks from each. All the looks seemed very accessible to me with a high wearibility factor and a strong sporty vibe. Even though designers played with different fabrics, shapes and designs, it is quite easy to identify a few strong trends for next summer. Overall the creations were very relaxed and in neutral colors white, black and grey and just the occasional pop of bright colours in the different shades of blue and red. Check out the key pieces from Berlin Fashion Week’s strongest menswear collections and start looking for inspiration for new outfits after the jump! Read on…

This week’s Cinéma de Mode makes us travel in time with the astonishing fashion film Happy Tears for Swiss designer Julian Zigerli‘s Fall/Winter 2013 collection. In the enchanting and magical short directed by Berlin-based artist Martin Monk, Scottish actor Alan Cummings turns back time and re-encounters his younger self – portrayed by charming model Thomas Gibbons – in the beautiful landscape of New York. The movie is a true aesthetic experience and a cinematic journey of emotions and memories between agitation and liberation. The collection is also admirable, with high-quality materials, interesting cuts and patterns, without lacking functionality and the sporty attitude. Enjoy the masterpiece after the jump.

Swiss young designer and former UdK graguate Julian Zigerli always finds some great and creative ways of presenting his menswear collections. For his new Spring Summer 2013 collection he shot an amazing fashion film with 4 dancers performing at some old airport somewhere in the mountains of Switzerland. Awesome! Enjoy the film My Daddy Was A Military Pilot shot by Julia Brütsch after the jump.
