If you ever went skiing in the Alps, for instance in Kitzbühel, you know that there is nothing better after a full day of skiing than a warm lunch on the top of a white mountain inside a cosy hut. You don’t need a master in geography to notice that the Alps are not really nearby. Luckily to appreciate some mountain flavors you don’t have to leave Berlin since this city has some really nice restaurants serving savory Alpine cuisine.

Even though winter is already gone here in Berlin and Spring is knocking on our doors inviting us out to stroll down the Spree or riding bikes through the city we have a wonderful Winter escape recommendation for you not to miss.
Actually it’s more a Spring escape, but never mind. Because any season you decide to escape the big city lights of Berlin for beautiful Kitzbühel will be most enjoyable. This little town has so much to offer that we repeated our trip from last year to get to know a much more sporty side of the idyllic mountain city.
