From London with love. British womenswear designer Charlie May is descending on the fashionable city of Berlin for her new collection launch this week. If you haven’t heard the name Charlie May yet, I guarantee you will soon – and then you won’t forget it. IT-girl, award-winning blogger, and fashion graduate of the University of the West of England, Charlie May creates incredible designs that blur the lines between day and evening wear, through striking cross-styles, impeccable finishes and a unique mix of high-end fabrics and intrinsic cuts. Her designs are always on point, only surpassed by her curiosity for new shapes and the tenacity with which she pursues her search for a minimalist style. More about it, after the jump!

Every time somebody comes visiting me in Berlin and I show them proud and happy all my favorite places I realize that there is one thing that causes distraction: Men! Of course Berlin is also full of beautiful women, but apparently the Berlin men have something special that you cannot find in any other place. By reading the books of Klaus Mann I discovered that the appeal of the Berlin men already existed since the 20s. Right in the heart of Europe Berlin attracted all kinds of different types of personalities that maybe didn’t fit in other places and had their own sexual attraction. Their power of attraction lies not only in superficialities. Berlin men have the bad boy appeal that you can only get if you don’t care about having a big car or a giant house with a pool. Even if they might get slowly over the “poor but sexy” thing, the Berlin men are not interested in the stereotypical ego-boost status symbols (girls, cars, pools) and this is their secret formula to their sexiness (at least in my opinion).
But yet again, we should not limit our horizons. Today I have a special revelation for you: Handsome and interesting men do not only live in Berlin. The Italian fashion brand Antony Morato went on a venture to different Metropolises to discover interesting characters who are in love with their city. “We wanted to describe the cities which influence everybody’s imagination through the eyes of men like us, through the same eyes with which I saw and still see these cities when I look for ideas and inspiration” says Lello Caldarelli, Chairman and Art Director of the brand. As media partners of the project we will present you somebody from Berlin next week. For now we would love to take you to a trip to discover Barcelona, London and Naples through the eyes of three unique guys. Check out the videos of the project after the jump.

Halloween is actually not happening until Monday, but all the Halloween parties are taking place on Saturday already. I wonder if the dead will be so amused about that! That still gives you a couple of days to prepare your goregeous gruesome costume! To give you a bit of inspiration we have dug out all our Halloween photosets from the graves that we have done over the years and put them in one big album. On top of that we give you one scary photo set from London that has never been published before. Have a look after the jump on 4 pages!

Imagine this antique Grecian temple where mystical rituals happen and a supreme divinity is adored. Well, if fashion is a God the headquarters of ASOS are its temple. Or where else in the world do hundreds of photo and catwalk video shoots, design sessions, trend discussions and editorial meetings take place at the same time in the same place. A busy busy place opened its doors for us during our trip to London and we where more than amazed about the tons of impression we got in just one day. We talked to the head of design of the menswear devision about the developement of ASOS, the press guy showed us the new collection, the marketing lady introduced us to the new Urban Tour menswear campaign and we had lunch with the head of the German branch ASOS.de whose in-house nickname is simply “Germany”. To share our experience we took many snapshots, to get an impression take a look after the jump.

This past weekend we went on an Urban Tour for ASOS and explored the “Kreuzkölln” of London: The East End, including Shoreditch, Hackney and – most importantly – Brick Lane. This small but famous street and its surrounding sidestreets and alleys are known and loved for its numerous vintage shops, fleamarkets, urban art galleries, famous street art sights, curry houses, as well as for its multi-cultural inhabitants, young creatives, fashionistas and hip tourists.
On a sunny day we wandered around the area taking photos of the most interesting things. We found charming little cafes, the work of familiar street artists, cool fashion boutiques and much more. Come follow us on our photo tour with many recommendations after the jump.

It is really refreshing to take photos in another city for a change. And London is probably not the worst option for that. Finally some new faces again! Except for one who is quite a familiar character: Pelayo. I came across Spain’s most famous fashion blogger who is now living in London a couple of times at Madrid Fashion Week, but now for the first time out in the wilderness. More impressions of the Hot Boy Dancing Spot party at East Block in London after the jump.
