Peaches and Coop by Suz
Boysnoize Christmas Jam at Maria am Ostbahnhof tonight. Boysnoize Records are celebrating their 5th birthday this year and after more than 50 releases there is lots to celebrate. Alex Ridha aka Boysnoize has worked with Kelis, The Black Eyed Peas and Gonzales and is going touring with N.E.R.D at the beginning of next year. Maria gives space to a a big jam like the one tonight with Scotty, Feadz, Peaches, Boys Noize, Housemeister, Coop and many more plus a real Berlin afterhour for the ones who stayed and the ones who came back home for Christmas. Drink the Christmas mood away and dance! Flyer after the click.

There is quite a lot of buzz going on about the upcoming Levi’s Curve Attack Tour that will start off in our city on October 16th and will then move on to Hamburg, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. No wonder with headlining acts such as the awesome Kelis and rising star Natalia Kills. Kelis made a surprising change of style with her recent come-back album Flesh Tone that moves a way from her RnB sounds towards very danceable club tunes. But this is not all!
Vote for Berlin to get Mark Ronson for the after party!
If we manage to take control of the Levi’s City Battle we will also get Mark Ronson into town who will pleasure us with a DJ set at the after show party. Wouldn’t that be a perfect treat? All we have to do is vote for our city over at their Red-Tab.com page on Facebook or by scanning one of the nifty QR codes spread all over posters, flyers, blogs and magazines in town. (the wonders of modern day technology make it possible…) If you vote you will also get the chance to win tickets for the concert and party! More infos and some musical appetizers after the jump.
Julian Casablancas, 31-year-old son of the founder of Elite Model Management and a Miss Denmark, vocalist and chief songwriter of The Strokes, has mastered his new solo album Phrazes for the Young (from an Oscar Wild book) and therefore gave his only German concert yesterday in Berlin at Maria. My impressions and more photos after the jump.
Drama at the partyfront: the recently opened Stattbad Wedding has to close. Just another time Berlin is losing an unique underground location which was so different from other locations. But our thoughts are free!! (btw, the photo above showing the fat guy is the Disco Thursday at Monarch flyer).
Go after the jump to see what is going on this weekend.
Suspiria
Ok, this weekend it’s all about Wurst, horses, meat, utopia, bass, demo, republic, gentlemen and swimming. This time a bit more for those of you who are culturally interested, here are your favourite partytips:
Vernissage at Bergstübl and Lucas Carrieri Gallery (Torstr. 96 as usual) tonight, go and absorb some art, ignoramous! If you just don’t care but got nasty collywobbles, have a proper German Wust tonight, at the opening of Fleischerei as a traditional Berlin Currywurst Restaurant at Torstr. 116. Yummie… More parties after the jump.
