The temperatures are dropping, the snow is getting thicker and the events going on in Berlin are getting fewer. Still, there is quite a few nice things going on in the city. Kreuzberg Kalender is having 2 smaller events this week, the Salon Mindpirates is having his final week and then there is a series of Christmas-themed events toward the weekend. The week there are three events happening on the weekend that we are involved in: On Friday our movie girl Lia celebrates the opening party of her Kreuzberg Kalender project, on Saturday I will be a guest speaker at the Networking Brunch of Artconnect Berlin and on Sunday VisitSweden will release a book about Stockholm and Gothenburg where Claudio contributed some photos and texts. This week there are once again plenty of events going on. We have two birthdays to celebrate: Voo and Merkezi. Also the Mindpirates are opening a very special salon for one month. If you look at the title of this post a little closer you will notice a small change. I’ve inserted “party” to our weekly event guide, as the party guide that normally comes out on Thursday is on hiatus. As companesation I will add a few more parties for the weekend into this guide and also add them during the week when more pops up on my horizon. This week there is sooo much going on it’s going to be one of those where you plan on doing all of it and then end up doing none because there are just to many events to attend to. This week we have two photo exhibitions about life in the streets, a special event with singer songwriter Maximilian Hecker, the opening of the first Coffee Academy cafe and much much more after the jump.
Finally the rain is over and this week is supposed to be much warmer then the last few weeks. Halleluja! This week everything seems to be back to normal in our weekly event guide. The summer is playing a nasty game with us, but what choice do we have other then making the best of it and hoping for some sunshine and less rain. Some highlights of this week are the concert of Hush Hush at the new club Chalet by the former Bar25 owners. The first Kiez Opera at Salon Zur Wilden Renate and the second Hipster Olympiade taking the crap out of some typical clichées about Berlin Hipsters.
