Motorworld Classic: The Most Awesome Oldtimers in Berlin

Motorworld Classic: The Most Awesome Oldtimers in Berlin

Vintage and nostalgia are common hobbies for Berliners who love to remember and dwell in the good old times of the turbulent but also radiant history of our beloved city.

Besides the love for good vintage fashion and design there is probably no other passion ranking so high lately than oldtimer cars. But it’s actually silly to call it a revival. As long as I can remember everybody stopped and watched in amazement when a vintage automobile passed by on the streets of Berlin. Like a time machine they throw our imagination back to the past. To an era where artisanal work and industrial design perfection were working hand in hand.

The perfect chance to discover the most awesome oldtimers in Berlin is the upcoming fair Motorworld Classic. Inside the enormous and beautiful fair building from the 30s in the West of Berlin, you will be able to discover everything related to classic cars, young timers, connoisseur-cars, motorbikes and many curiosities. Taking place from October 6th to 9th 2016, this second edition of the oldtimer fair will bring plenty of amazing automobile history highlights to Berlin.

Classic car clubs and private sellers will present and sell their products there. Many chances for awesome photos with the best of automobile design history awaits you.

After the jump we collected some of the highlights of this special event in pictures.

IFA 2015 – A Technological Wonderland

IFA 2015 – A Technological Wonderland

From September 4th til 9th the big consumer electronics fair IFA is taking place at Messe Berlin giving you a glimpse of the technology of tomorrow. After we visited the fair for the first time last year we were excited to dive right back and went yesterday on the first day of the fair to check out what all of the electronic brands have been cooking up in their labs.

Once again entering the Messe Berlin felt like walking into a technological wonderland. From smartphones to plasma TVs, from fitness gadgets to kitchen appliances, from stereo systems to vacuum cleaners you could basically find any kind of device that you could need in your like, or maybe not need, but want because it’s kind of cool to have.  It was stunning to see just how many shiny new products are out there that are ready and waiting to be consumed by us. If you have a hard time to imagine how this all looks, don’t worry, we had our cameras with us and took plenty of pictures to give you an impression.

IFA 2014 – An Immersive Experience

On Friday I made my very first visit to the IFA at Messe Berlin, one of the biggest fairs for consumer electronics. I’m not a the biggest nerd when it comes to technology and gadgets. Of course for my work I need a laptop, camera and a smartphone. But that’s pretty much it, I don’t even have a TV. So before I stepped into the Messe Berlin halls I imagined the whole affair to be like and out-of-control visit to Mediamarkt. But little did I know what I was getting myself into. This turned out to be a quite immersive experience of an almost overwhelming magnitude.
