The best thing about Berlin is, how it consists of cultural pieces from every part of the world. Some further some closer. Italian culture is most definitely one of the most established ones here. Our friends from Berlino Magazine, a Blog run by – and written for Italians in Berlin, decided to create an event that lets you enjoy the wonders of italian cuisine and culture for 72 hours, which is called True Italian and it happens this week Wednesday bringing you all these Italian goodies to your tastebuds. We got inspired by this and thought it is about time, we created a guide to true Italian lifestyle in Berlin just for you.
There is so much more to it than Pizza and Pasta (don’t get us wrong, they will always be our best friends). Find your way into art, music, food and fashion from Italy in Berlin.

Following the spirit of our Exploring Berlin series we want to look at another district today and show you our favorite places there. This time we chose the one that we are surrounded by the most as our office at Blogfabrik is located right in the middle of it. I’m talking about Kreuzberg of course, probably one of the most popular districts of Berlin at the moment.
People who come to Berlin just love it here. It’s buzzing and it’s relaxed at the same time. It offers everything from delicious food, compelling art, pulsating nightlife and cultural entertainment. But apart from all of that Kreuzberg is particularly good for one thing: Just hanging out and having a good time. So we drove around in the past days dropping by the most beloved hang-out spots of the Berliners and snapping some photos for you. By the way all of the photos in this feature have been taken with the new Sony Xperia Z5 smartphone (versus the Z1 or my SLR that I normally use) which is being presented at the IFA these days. But now let’s dive into our favorite places in Kreuzberg.

Kreuzberg has a new gem of Italian cuisine right in its heart at Lausitzer Platz. We tested the new restaurant Nudo recently and can full-heartedly give it the thumbs up. Co-owned by the founder of the super successful Kochhaus stores it comes as no surprise that the recipes and ingredients are of the best of quality here. The concept is also quite different from most restaurants. They only have one daily menu that consists of four courses and combines nouveaux cuisine and traditional dishes. It normally includes both fish and meat, but can also be requested as a vegetarian menu or other special requests. So you can basically come here every day and experience something entirely new. We love this concept very much, especially to such a fair price of only 28 EUR. Have a look at our impressions and check out this great new place as soon as you can!
