New Year’s Eve is coming up and everyone is all excited because it’s the first time in two years that official parties and events are happening again after the various pandemic lockdowns. We are certainly excited to hit the clubs again.
But there is one small but cute subgroup that unfortunately will have to stay home for New Year’s Eve once again: The kids! And isn’t that unfair? New Year’s Eve is historically really an adult kind of thing, isn’t it? The late hour of the main event, the booze, the firecrackers, the clubs – these are all not really kid-friendly things. It’s really unfair though because kids do sense that this is a special happening, yet one that many of them are excluded from.
Christmas is over and the ghost town that is Berlin is finally getting back to life. There is already a couple of nice parties and events going on this weekend, but the most will be going on this Monday at New Year’s Eve, naturally. Enjoy our recommendations to celebrate into 2013 after the jump.
This year I was invited by my fellow blogger Bonnie Strange to her fabulous Glamarama New Year’s Eve Party that she threw together with her boyfriend Wilson. The two of them were such amazing hosts and gave us a wonderful evening and a great start into the new year with lots of booze, yummie food and fireworks. First time I spent my NYE in the company of so many other bloggers as lovely Katja, Marcel, Dustin, Jan, Josephine and Oliver were guests as well. Last night’s Kings & Queens NYE party at .HBC was seriously the best party I ever experienced in this location. We had so much fun and for once the party people finally complied to the dresscode as there were countless fancy kings and queens to be seen. Impressions of a great night after the jump. I don’t know. This year I don’t feel like Christmas at all. I wish I could just skip it and go straight to NYE. But obviously I can’t avoid the family responsibilities and have to go home to spend the holiday with my folks. But that won’t keep me from already making plans for AFTER Christmas to sooth me over the fest of boredom until I’m back in Berlin.
