The unmeltable Partyguide

Melt? Then don’t continue reading, you might regret it, cause there is news at the club front, all compiled in this weekend’s party guide, research conducted under threat of life and body, made for dancers, music lovers, Berliners, new-Berliners, the curious ones and the explorers. Parties after the jump:

Traveling frees your Sunday mind

Even with a storm-warning we love open airs on Sundays so much that we didn’t care and took a little trip to Kraftwerk Rummeslburg to the Reisen macht den Kopf frei- Festival. What we found was a nice party oasis of bassy music and lovely people. And my company wasn’t bad eather. So it’s true traveling frees your mind at least on a hot Sunday like it was today. Enjoy some impressions after the jump.

Sisyphos Festival Berlin – Dancing Open Air

Sisyphos Festival Berlin

When you read our Berlin blog you may think that this city has so many hidden secrets. And so many times we become a target for criticism because we reveal those secrets to people who are not as well informed as others. But the truth is: there is no real secret in Berlin. There are just different groups of interests and different communication networks. Not every information is passed in every network and some human networks think if they just pass their information in their inner circle that the information is safe. Some people are afraid when they see that we don’t have problems to share any kind of information we help the wrong people to find out about the good stuff. But I am asking myself who are these wrong people out there? And what will they do when they are reading about the secret stuff? Will they start a witch Sabbath and try to put a bad spell on it? Or will they come like hungry insects and devour the hidden Shangri-La? I think that the wrong people probably just don’t care about your secrets. Try to go out on the streets and tell people that you have an alien baby in your stomach. They probably won’t even care. And that’s the same with these supposedly hidden places like Sisyphos. Enjoy the pictures from last Sunday’s Sisyphos Festival, but don’t try to share them with anybody. Because they are absolutely secret.

The Last Open Air

DSC07986

What is the rabbit doing in the bushes? Probably searching for his warm and cosy rabbit hole to hide in it for the next six month. It seems that Sunday was the last oportunity to party open air and we took it as a god sent gift and partied untill the sun went down and even a little bit longer. Our first open air of this summer in Karlshorst doesn’t even feel that far away yet. But still this chapter is over for now. But well, what can we do? For now enjoying some last summer-party impressions after the jump.

Dancing in the sun the Sunday passed without a cloud. Some kids escaped from the city to find vibrant beats deep into the woods. Some impression of one really nice open air after the jump.

Magic at the Spree

Sunday Seance Summer Affair at Terrasse

Sunday afternoon is really such a perfect time for a party. And while the confetti people stood in line for hours at the Bar 25 we were having a good time around the corner at Terrasse with music by Tdaance, Hunee and more. The HBC. and Macaroni guys really found a nice spot here for their Sunday Seance Summer Affair. I hope there is going to be more of that.

Finally had the chance to chat with Marcel from Amy&Pink and Eva from Miss Creative Classy. Greetz over to you guys! More photos after the jump.

This weekend it is all about barbeque and beer. But since we are in Berlin, please call it Grillen and I just wanted to add that you’ll be warmly welcomed if you bring along a solid steak, we Germans don’t eat Wurst all day. Really!

Oh, I can’t decide if the Foxy Boxers or Villa wins this weekend’s price for the funniest flyer… The parties after the jump.

Megaspree

Megaspree Demostration Berlin

The protest against Mediaspree was taken to another level with the demoparade Megaspree on Saturday. For all of you who haven’t heard about it: Mediaspree is a construction project for the Spree area in Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. The idea is to build dozens of sterile concrete office buildings at the waterside in which media companies should move in.

Therefore most of the alternative culture which is located in that area will be displaced, such as Bar 25, Kiki Blofeld, Maria and Yaam, to name just a few. On last year’s July 11 there was a public poll about the Mediaspree. The result was clear: more than 80% of the inhabitants of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain voted against Mediaspree. But the government of Berlin was unimpressed; the plans were just lightly modified.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the poll more than 50 cultural institutions hosted the Megaspree demo-parade on Saturday. The word demo-parade  describes very well what the whole thing was about: on the one hand, it was a political demonstration. On the other hand, it was a big, phantastic party on the streets. More about that with lots of photos after the jump.

Parties and Guestlists

Rüde Hagelstein

Ruede Hagelstein

Oh my, the deeper we go into the summer the more parties there seem to be on one weekend. How will we ever manage that? Okay, you just have to make a choice I guess. Or be on the guestlists…

This weekend is dominated by one big event that will go on for several days: Reisen Macht Den Kopf Frei (Traveling Makes Your Head Free) is the name of a festival at Rechenzentrum and Funkpark that will go on from Friday through Monday. Some highlights from their line-up include Aka Aka (live), Herr Suess & Herr Sauer, Ruede Hagelstein, ND Baumecker, Sven Dohse, Jens Bond and A Guy Called Gerald. Apart from the music they will also have shows, food stands, movies, camping, massages and much more. As the Rechenzentrum is located a bit outside the centre there will be a bus shuttle from Ostkreuz. More infos about the festival here. You can win free tickets for this after the jump.

More parties and free tickets after the jump.
