Appartement Re-Installed
I discovered the Pampero Appartement in the old Bötzow brewery quite late, in 2009 after it already existed for a couple of years. I lived in the same street back then at Prenzlauer Allee and quickly this place became a second living room as I went to the Tuesday’s Dinner for Friends almost every week with my circle of friends. It became an even more familiar place to me when Suz moved her Last Days party there. I don’t remember how many nights I’ve actually spent in this unique space, but I was sure sad when it had to close down a year later already.
Luckily the project has resurfaced in the shape of a new one called Pampero Colectivo. They are no longer a fixed location but an entity that connects the art scene of Berlin and supports cultural and art related events. This coming Saturday they celebrate their return with a one-night re-installement of the Appartement as it used to be. Over 20 artists will be involved in the big group exhibition and Hugo Capablanca will be DJing at the party. The re-installement will take place at Atelierhof Kreuzberg, an excting art space in the area of Mehringdamm. More details after the jump as well as a photographic look back into the old Appartement.
