Diadora N9000 Live Party – Sneaker Fetish at its Best

Diadora N9000 Live Party – Sneaker Fetish at its Best

photos: Olga Khristolyubova

For the launch of the 90’s revival sneaker collection of Diadora we went to the (not so) secret coven of all sneaker fetishists in Berlin: the OVERKILL Shop last Friday. Thankfully our expectations in seeing some really weird (but somehow hot) sneaker fans were more than satisfied. Diadora is one of the brands I vividly remember from my Italian childhood and it is very exciting for me to see how they are having international fans nowadays all over the world. The new vintage silhouette and color palette of the N9000 Live put the supercool back on the tracksuit you will wear while jogging with this beauties through Treptower Park. Enjoy some impressions of the launch event after the jump.

Berlin’s Party Beards

Berlin’s Party Beards

Nowadays men spend more time on grooming and shaping their beards than with their hair style. Maybe it is just a temporary trend, but right know a beard is the must-have accessory for any party lover. Since we are quite beardicted ourselves we wrote a story for alternative queer magazine Siegessäule gathering the most interesting beard styles from Berlin’s nightlife. From cute boys with mustaches, to Russian gangsters and bearded women Berlin can be quite the beard show. Be impressed by the diversity of beards after the jump.

After 16 Hours of Techno – A Series of Berghain Portraits

After 16 Hours of Techno – A Series of Berghain Portraits

photos: Philipp Pusch.

If you would even dare to try to take party photos at Berghain you would probably be banned to hell, or worse. I’ve seen furious bar tenders leap over the counter to kick people out who took photos of each other with their smart phones. But luckily they can’t prohibit any kind of photography outside of their sacred premises, so taking pictures of the people in front of the club is a good alternative. Recently a photo set of the people in the queue of Berghain made the rounds on the internet. And today we have a brand new one for you by young photographer and communications designer Philipp Pusch who stationed himself for several weeks in front of the famous club with his medium format camera. He has made portraits of the people who were heading home after spending 8 t0 16 hours in the techno temple. The result is a beautiful black & white series of the young and charismatic Berghain goers who look surprisingly good after all those hours of dancing. Enjoy the series after the jump.

Backyard Anniversary

Backyard Anniversary

On the occasion of tomorrow’s 3rd Anniversary of the Backyard (home to Suz’ Last Days parties) I was looking for a nice title photo for the event guide and stumbled across this photo set I made at the first anniversary party 2 years ago which apparently I never published on the blog, don’t know why. Well, but better late than never I would say and today is a good day to look back in anticipation for tomorrow! Happy Birthday! Enjoy!
