Live Networking – LNFA #2 with JULIAANDBEN

Tomorrow the second Live Networking for Fashion & Art event will take place in Berlin at Platoon Kunsthalle presenting the designers JULIAANDBEN, Ivan Man, Twisted Talents, Dandie Zimmermanm, Isabel Stasinski, Appollo Krieg, Perlensäue and Marina Ballerina. When I researched all of these designers I was pleasantly surprised because except for the first two I didnt know any of them and almost all of them are really cool. So I’m extra excited for tomorrows shows. Apart from the shows there will also be some extra goodies, such as nail art by The Shit Shop, a photobooth by Canon, hair styling by Persona Non Grata, and art by Paul Vogeler.

To get you in the mood I want to show you the new Spring/Summer 2014 collection of one of my favorite labels from Berlin: JULIAANDBEN. This might very well be the best collection that designer Julia Heuse has ever done. She came up with some really great new pieces while still maintaining her iconic artsy and grungey style. The collection is very versatile with a good mix of very wearable and clean pieces and some outstanding eyecatchers. I love it! More of it after the jump.

Berlin Goods: Kyl – Molecular Popsicles

Berlin Goods: Kyl – Molecular Popsicles

Berlin is mainly known for its club culture, easy lifestyle and cheap rents. What people rarely appreciate are all the amazing ideas and products that are being designed and invented here. With our new series Berlin Goods we want to introduce you to some of them.

We’ll start with something that couldn’t be more relevant during these hot summer days: Popsicles. But not just any ordinary popsicles, we’re talking molecular icecream that has the look of an avant-garde accessory. Kyl is organic, fair trade, comes in vegan and yogurt versions and many different flavors. It’s probably the most interesting icecream I have seen in… well, forever?

You can try it out yourself: Since July the founder of Kyl, David Marx, hosts a pop-up sale at the Platoon Kunsthalle at Schönhauser Allee 9. Some more impressions after the jump. Follow Kyl on Facebook to be updated about their amazing popsicles.

The Apocalyptic Weekly Event & Party Guide

Bodi Bill

If you believe in the Mayan predictions, the end of the world is very near. You may think the idea is nothing but absurd, but if you don’t want to be sitting on your sofa when the big day comes, you gotta make sure you go out and appreciate the last hours of life. This week can be the perfect excuse to party or to get some last sips of culture  and if by some strange miracles the world doesn’t end on Friday, there is still much going on during the weekend. Decide yourself how the world is going to end with the events after the jump!

The Weekly Event & Party Guide

If you look at the title of this post a little closer you will notice a small change. I’ve inserted “party” to our weekly event guide, as the party guide that normally comes out on Thursday is on hiatus. As companesation I will add a few more parties for the weekend into this guide and also add them during the week when more pops up on my horizon. So enjoy the new extended event and party guide after the jump.

Miami Horror

This week we are getting a bit of a rest of all those Berlin Something Weeks as we are right between the art week and the social media week. It’s definately more calm, but I’m glad, less to chose from sometimes is a blessing. This week we have some great exhibition opening, workshops, talks and of course parties! The weekly events right after the jump.
