Lucky Thursday: Win Ultra Light Downs by Uniqlo

Lucky Thursday: Win Ultra Light Downs by Uniqlo

Today we have a special treat for you. If you have been in Berlin the last couple of days you might have noticed the one undeniable truth: Winter is knocking on our doors sending Autumn as gentle reminder. And as lovely some snow activities might be. Running around town with tons of clothes on heavy and bulky enough to make you feel like the hunchback of Notre Dame (even far away from Paris) does not make Winter the favorite season of the Berliners. But this year we found a clever solutions that might make you reconsider your Winter aversion.

Together with Japanese ultra minimalistic high-tech fashion brand Uniqlo we are giving away 10 Ultra Light Downs. This brand new fashion innovation is the perfect solution for the upcoming Berlin Winter. Thanks to a special new technology the jackets, vest, parkas and many more items are super light still being very warm. The silhouette is so sleek and lightweight, it can be worn under another layer. We had the chance to test them and are super impressed by its several features. Especially for biking I can recommend the vest to keep you warm without putting any additional weight on you.

This Saturday we are teaming with Uniqlo and host a special Ultra Light Down photo booth in front of their store at Tauentzienstraße. To find out what we have planned for you and how to win one of these special products read on after the jump.

UPDATE: The winners are picked. Check out the pictures from the event.

Kill your Selfie with Oliver Blohm and Impossible Projects

Kill your Selfie with Oliver Blohm and Impossible Projects

A Polaroid camera is probably one of the most special items from the time of analog photography. Nowadays where we are all becoming amateur photographers through our phones, ipads, and digital cameras there is less appreciation for the actual printed photo which is quite sad. Impossible Project saved the last Polaroid production plant for integral instant film in Enschede (NL) and started to invent and produce totally new instant film materials for traditional Polaroid cameras and saved them from becoming useless. Now Impossible Projects is coming back to Berlin to open their first partner store in town.

For the occasion they invited renowned Berlin-based photographer Oliver Blohm to show his extraordinary work shot with Impossible film in an exhibition named “The Impossible Nuke”. Also you have the chance to take part in a special microwave session. Bring your own instant photo or shoot it right there and get it “nuked”. Kill your selfie and burn your polaroids I would say. More details after the jump.
