The music scene of Berlin is as hot as the summer right now. Over the last warm couple of weeks, they kept delivering one lush track after the other and we are here for it! It’s exciting to see the scene progressing and to raise the bar higher and higher.

Despite Berlin’s reputation as the number one hub for electronic music, our selection of this new music feature revolves mostly around pop and indie rock music. Which is great as it shows how diverse the city truly is offering space for any kind of genre.

Brace yourselves for stand-out debuts of Lie Ning, colorful pop collages of Free Free Dom Dom and sultry soundscapes of Magic Island in our new Berlin Music Video compilation.

Pitchtuner in Concert in Berlin & Gif-Fashion Editorial

Pitchtuner in Concert in Berlin & Gif-Fashion Editorial

Last year I had a really exciting project I would love to tell you more about. For the album release of the band Pitchtuner fashion photographer Marlen Stalhuth and I created an animated Gif-Fashion Story. Pitchtuner, that is Japanese Miki Yoshimura und Johannes Marx from Germany. The two Berliners-of-choice released their fourth album “Ready to go”  via  RAR, marketed by Motor Entertainment. Pitchtuner is a unique combination of Indie-Pop and DIY-Dance-Electronic.This combo mixes the eccentricity of Japan and the German inventiveness. If you want to experience their unique concerts (we had them as main act to our 7 years anniversary party) I have good news for you. They will be playing on Friday the 23 here in Berlin together with the Dj -Team JeansTeam. Enjoy the fashion story inspired by the street styles of Tokyo featuring young designers from Germany and Japan and check out the concerts infos here.

The crazy party organized byconcept store UNI+FORM took place at P.O.P. and none-other than Peaches was entertaining the eclectic crowd. Some impressions after the jump.

Hello Kimbra

When we think of New Zealand mostly things like Kiwis, beautiful landscapes and Lord of the Rings comes to mind. Not at all would be think that a super-cool indie-pop princess would come from these magical lands. But let me introduce you to Kimbra. Her debut album Vows hasn’t been released in Europe yet, but it should be! Her amazing singles Settle Down and Cameo Lover speak for themselves (have a look at the lovely videos after the jump). In times where our ears are poluted by Lady Gaga, Britney and all the other over-the-top pop divas, Kimbra is a welcome change. Enjoy after the jump.
