The Smartest Styles

Julie Eilenberger

The Torstraße has been the hub for showrooms and pop-up stores during this fashion week. Beside the new Happy Shop and the Edged Designer Sale and Showroom the Nokia Pop-Up Fashion Café was one of the hotspots on the streets. The concept was a combination of a fashion lounge and cafe, a young designer showroom and a temporary photo studio where fashion photographer Yves Borgwardt shot the smartest looks of upcoming designers on young faces and fashionistas of Berlin  for the new campaign for the Nokia C7 Smartphone.

While I was visiting the stunning showpiece collection of Julie Eilenberger was about to be shot in the studio. Julie was part of the Designer Scouts runway show about a year ago and it was great to see her new styles up-close. The UdK graduate currently interns at Christopher Kane in London and I’m really curious what she has lined-up next.

In the showroom I also shoke hands with the young designer Ivan Man who presented a very nice menswear collection. Some impressions of my visit at the fashion cafe after the jump. The Nokia Pop-Up Café will move on to Munich (January 27-29) and Düsseldorf (Febuary 3-5) next.

We talked to Rene Schopf, one of the men behind The Hunter about Berlin, fashion and fashion in Berlin. Read on for the interview and more details.
