The Berlin-based fashion brand BL33N is a project by Donovan and Matthias Vriens-McGrath. Their core products are very simple yet funny T-shirts that are the perfect costume for Halloween if you like to show some belly (and have the right body to do so). The heart of this project is the belief and support of individual freedom. BL33N believes that sexuality should not be forced into taboos, but should be recognized and celebrated. That is why they just recently made a new sexy T-shirt. As a visual reminder of the anti-gay laws that have recently been passed in Russia and that exist throughout the world. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will be donated to ALL OUT, an organization that works on making this hope a reality. Well done, we say and still work on our belly to become fit to wear their monster T-shirts.

You all probably know that I am a fan of spectacular and excentric outfits. Well, I have to confess: sometimes at home I simply wear just a T-shirt to feel more comfortable and to concentrate more on my writing. You are all shocked? Don’t be! I am obviously wearing verrrrry special T-shirts, preferably by local designers. One of my favourites is the banana dick T-shirt I was wearing in episode 1 of my little web series The Fruit Salad from the Berlin-based label Universal Poison. Founded by the lovely Spanish illustrator Ana Pla and her partner E.M. Waty this label sells just hand painted T-shirts. Can you imagine? The bananas on my T-shirts are painted by HAND!!!! So every T-shirt is a unique art work. On their website you can browse through the online shop and look at all their motives. A lot of the T-shirts are sold out in the web shop, but I think Ana is always accepting orders from people living in Berlin. The north kiez of Friedrichshain has a new neighbor of the fashionable kind. It’s a new shop aimed at fans of sneakers and shirts, so I think especially the guys will get happy here. Big sneaker brands like DC, Gola, and Keds go hand in hand with smaller German t-shirt labels such as Powley from Hamburg and Wasted German Youth from Berlin.
