Berlin-based newcomer Thomas Azier has already impressed us with his haunting debut single Red Eyes last year. But not only we were stunned by the amazing voice and sound of the young man, Yoann Lemoine a.k.a. Woodkid instantly signed him as his support act for the European tour that continues this year in April. Today Thomas released a video to the lead single Angelene of his new EP Hylas 002 that will be released on March 1st. We find the new song and video equally awesome. Enjoy it after the jump.

Is there a Berlin pop-movement? I am no music expert, but I would be able to name around 10 Berlin bands who are getting their own approach to pop or eletric pop here in Berlin. The young Dutchman Thomas Azier is no exception. With an incredibly high voice and beautiful sinthy layers his music is a good start into the weekend. The 24-year old multi-instrumentalist is now working on his debut album, which follows his first EP “Hylas 001” and a second EP “Hylas 002” due out in Summer 2012. Check out his music after the jump.
