The Berlin music scene has been busy in the last months cooking up so many new tunes and music videos that we thought it’s about time to compile another round-up of recent releases by our favorite musicians. This time we have a bunch of newbies in our list that we haven’t previously featured on the blog (shame on us!) but that we are glad to introduce into our musical iHeart universe. Amongst them one of the more famous Berlin musicians, Zebra Katz, as well as newcomers Finn Ronsdorf and the lovely K.ZIA. Of course, we’ve also thrown in the latest music from iHeart favs Fhat, Evvol and Lie Ning. Here we go.

In a few days it’s already here: This year’s early edition of the Berlin Festival. It normally took place in the Fall, but with the changes the festival is going through they also moved their date into the Spring to be the first festival of the year to open the festival season. Since it’s change of location from Tempelhof to the newly founded Arena Park that includes not only the Arena itself but also a lot of the space, venues and parks around it, the festival has experienced pretty much a reboot. We are totally in favor of these changes and like that it has more of a club atmosphere now and seems a bit more true to the spirit of Berlins nightlife.
Speaking of nightlife! Absolut is one of this year’s supporter of the Berlin Festival and they know a thing or two about creative nightlife. In support of the Berlin Festival they commissioned XI Design to create five big street art murals spread over several in town in the spirit of their Absolut Nights campaign. They look super fun and are great additions to all the ones we previously reported about. ZEBRA KATZ
There is one unwritten rule that applies to every project in Berlin: You can’t finish your story without a proper party in the end. And this story has one hell of a bang as a finale! As media partners of the Open Your City project by Thump for Heineken we are delighted to introduce you to the final event. The idea behind Open Your City is to connect and promote the creative highlights from the big cities around the world collecting the hottest places of the most important cities in the so-called Heat Map that is curated by many local experts from around the globe, including ourselves.
After the Berlin meets Rio fusion event at Voo Store and our Contemporary Art Guide for Berlin-Mitte as part of the Heat Map we are happy to announce the final party this Thursday night: The line-up is quite impressive: ZEBRA KATZ (live), GESAFFELSTEIN and SICK GIRLS are all playing at one party! On top of that there will be some genious visuals by Pfadfinderei
