The Week of Possibilities

Agnes by Daria Marchik

Berlin is a place where people can live out all their dreams. Not just one, all of them. Here you have Burlesque dancer doing a Hip-Hop party, models doing DJ sets, DJs designing books and what not. There is no limit. The events after the jump.

Monday

After switching from weekly to bi-monthly the infamous Cinéma club night at the HBC Kino is back this Monday with a Dr. Sketchy Burlesque special presenting Miss Moss Corsets and her models. This is going to be one hell of a tit-tassling night! Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 9, 22h.

Wednesday

I have read all the books of David Sedaris. Loved them. His latest collection of short stories called “Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk” is quite the turn on his usual style. Instead of writing about his quirky family he has now put together a book full of fables. Of course his sense of humor is still utterly dark and cynical. But that book of animal stories is quite shockingly gruesome in some parts! On Wednesday he will have a reading at Kino Babylon Mitte, Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 30 at 20h. The reading will be both in English and German. I wonder if there will be any slaughtered animals at the reading…

Thursday

The beautiful Agnes, my latest campaign model for Carni, is not only a model, but also a DJ. On Thursday she will be at the decks at Greenwich Bar, Gipsstr. 5 starting at 20h. If her tunes are as good as her looks it’s gonna be quite a pleasure.

Friday

Cinéma’s Svenster also has a double life. Beside his work as a DJ is also works in graphic designer. He designed the brand new book for photographers Jonathan Monk and Ariel Schlesinger. On Friday they will celebrate the book release Balanced Acts at Meyer Riegger Gallery, Friedrichstrasse 235, at 19h.

Of course the gays can’t get enough of carnival. At the Homopatik party they will celebrate the Karneval Ausschreitungen at ://about blank at Markgrafendamm 24c, 23:30h.
