“Aesthetics of Decay; Design for Dying Electronics” by Disney Nasa Borg, 2013

The Cyberfest is one of the biggest festivals for technology-based art in Europe and while it has been taking place in St. Petersburg in the past years it will now have its premiere here in Berlin at The WYE starting next Wednesday with an opening reception and party hosted by I HEART BERLIN.

This year’s edition titled Time & Place will feature the work of over 100 artists in the fields of sound, video and performance art with screenings, concerts and exhibition spread out in a program running from Wednesday til Sunday (Nov 13-17, 2013) in the different floors of The WYE, the cultural, artistic and intellectual hub in the heart of Kreuzberg at the old post office building at Skalitzer Str. 86. Additional events will also take place at Platoon Kunsthalle at Schönhauser Alle in Mitte. You can take a closer look at the program here and join the Facebook event here. The whole event is free of entrance. Make sure to come by the vernissage on Wednesday from 20-23:30h and the after party at the Privatclub next door of The WYE starting at midnight with DJ sets by Hubie Davison and Jaan Ugrinsky. Some more impressions and details after the jump.
