After the wild 4th years Birthday Bash, this GEGEN edition plays on a precious theme of German Society and Culture, launching a malignant dance through its Kafkaesque power mechanisms. The concept is AMT and touches Bureaucracy directly. As Berlin's economy is growing faster and faster through queer migration by using social rights, it is interesting to see what integration means between spending money as private subjects and being recognized as public subjects by social institutions. Embrace the esthetics with the epic and be GEGEN. March 6th from 23-11h at KitKatClub.
Gritty Glamour is a queer intervention that takes us into the Berlin night, to the backstage area of a club in Kreuzberg. During a solidarity event, four artists are getting ready for their stage performance: Maria Sumak, golden voice of electro and queen of the nightlife; Blue Collar, rapper/musician and poet; Molina Puig, dancer and it-girl; and Greta Dietrich, West Berlin’s grande dame of drag chanson. While one performer at a time is on stage, the performer’s constellations and relationships behind the stage change.
