At the beginning there is the hunger or the emptiness. Then the tracing, the weathering, the pursuit, the aiming. The moment of killing, of seduction, which gives infinite pleasure. We are insatiable – everything at the beginning. Without regard for losses, without sense and reason.
In “Wildfang” people become animals, wild becomes civilized and civilized becomes an unpredictable element. Laura Witzleben’s performative dance piece explores the relationship between animals and humans, the cultural-historical significance of hunting, and the sexual component of hunting. A choreographic arrangement in three parts with two dancers.
